FRAMINGHAM – A Middlesex County grand jury indicted a Connecticut man on multiple child rape charges, announced the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office today, May 20.
Indicted was Andrew Hobson, 46, of Middleton Connecticut.
He was indicted on charges of rape of a child by force (2 counts) and indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14 (2 counts).
Details of the case were not disclosed by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office on the case. No information was available from Framingham Police.
Under former Gov. Deval Patrick information on sexual assault cases is no longer part of police logs and information can not be released to the public.
Hobson was arrested in Connecticut in October 2018. He was arrested and charged with having sex with an underage girl, known to him, for years. The alleged offenses occured between 2003 and 2006, according to a report in the Bristol Press.
It is unknown at this time if these two cases are related.
The indictment does stem from a case that happened in Framingham.
“These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty,” said the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office.
The Middlesex County Assistant District Attorney prosecuting the case is Radu Brestyan.
