Lidia Rusova, 79

FRAMINGHAM – Lidia Rusova, a resident of Framingham, was 79 when she passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at her home.

She was born in Russia, in Leningrad, in a big family. She was one of 10 children.

Only three of them survived during childhood due to diseases: her and two older brothers.

She had rough childhood. When she was 3 years old, she lost her mom, and was growing without motherly love.

Her father was working a lot and after few years got remarried. She was often hungry and it effected her in the way, that during her life she always wanted to feed everyone!

When she grew up she went to work in the factory where she has met her beloved husband Valentin. They got married in Dec. 1959 and were very happy together for 42 years.

Lidia was a wonderful cook and has taught her daughter and granddaughter how to cook. She liked to have people in her home. She was always so cheerful, enthusiastic, easygoing. People loved to be in her home, to be around her

Lidia was a great friend. At work she would stand up for someone who was treated wrongly, but never raised voice for herself.

For 5 years Lidia and her husband Valentin were raising their grandchildren alone, when her daughter left for America before she could take them to live with her in year 2000.

She came to America in 2006. Being sick and scared she came here to be with her family. She lived here for 13 years, giving her loved ones her love and support.

Even though she was struggling with diseases, she kept being kind, loving person as she always was. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She will be missed greatly.

Family and friends will honor and remember Lidia’s life by celebrating her funeral service in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Wednesday, May 15, at 11:30 A.M.

Interment will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery.
