PHOTOS: Softball Fundraiser Strikes Up Fun

FRAMINGHAM – Current Framingham baseball and softball players and alumni participated in a longest ball fundraiser on Saturday morning, among other activities.

Individuals pledged money on how far a ball would go when hit. For example, one could pledge $1 a foot and if a ball was hit 100 feet, payment would be $100.

The winners in the baseball category for longest ball were:

Nick Aivazian – 1st place (brother of varsity shortstop and outfielder junior Sidney Aivazian)

Trevor Smith – 2nd place (brother of varsity third basemen freshman Jenna Smith)

Jason Smith – 3rd place (father of varsity third basemen freshman Jenna Smith)

The winner for the longest softball went to Framingham High senior and softballer Kaylee Hall.

The event also included a longest throw contest, fastest baseball runner, and a home run derby.

Members of the coaching staff, parents, current, players, alumni, and siblings of players participated in events.
