Joseph M. Cid, 78, Retired Micro Photographer


FRAMINGHAM – Joseph M. Cid, 78, of Framingham, died on Sunday May 5, 2019 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.

Born in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Philippines, he was the son of the late Dr. Corazon A. and Pacita (MacFarland) Cid.

Joseph graduated from Xavier University (Ateneo De Cagayan) Philippines.

He was a micro photographer and worked for over 25 years at IT&T.

Joseph is survived by his sisters, Susan Cid-Española and her husband Wilfrido Española of Framingham and Christine Cid-Tan of Framingham; nieces and nephews, Dodi, Cindy, Dee and their spouses.  He is also survived by grand nieces, grand nephews and many extended family in the US and Philippines.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration of Joe’s life at St. Bridget Church, 830 Worchester Road, Framingham on July 27, 2019 at noon.

Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.) Framingham from 1 to 3 p.m.

His cremated remains will be interred on a later date in his family’s cemetery plot in Cagayan De Oro in Philippines.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 N. Beacon St. Watertown, MA 02472, perkins.org.
