The following is a media release from the Mayor’s office issued this morning, May 9 just before 11 a.m.
FRAMINGHAM – After being informed of Perini Management Services’ intent to put on the market its building located at 73 Mt. Wayte Avenue, Framingham officials have begun to explore the City’s options in relation to the Perini building to include conducting an appraisal of the property.
Members of the Framingham Mayor’s office, Public School Department, City Council and School Committee are collaborating on this endeavor.
Currently, the School Department occupies 20,000 square feet of the
Perini building, and the City pays $356,000 a year to lease the space.
The lease was signed when Stacy Scott was Superintendent of Schools.
