NATICK – Distinctive Hospitality Group (DHG), in conjunction with The VERVE–Crowne Plaza Boston-Natick, announced the appointment of Amanda Solomon as senior catering sales manager.
A well-seasoned professional in the event operations and catering industries, Solomon has over a decade of experience specializing in customized social events and planning and providing menu guidance.
Solomon began her career in 2007 as an Event Operations Manager with Restaurant Associates at the Boston Children’s Museum.
After three years of arranging events for hundreds of guests and putting policies and bookings into place, Solomon was promoted to Catering Sales Director less than a year later where she successfully sold and coordinated prestigious events to companies such as John Hancock, United Way, and State Street Bank.
In early 2011, Solomon took on the role of Event Operations Manager/Senior Account Representative at the distinguished company, Taste Catering, where she focused on menu design, maintaining vendor relations, and managing the food and supply inventory.
She continued to immerse herself in the industry by holding Sales Representative and Director of Vendor Relations positions at Phoodeez, where she coordinated and executed various aspects of events.
During her tenure, Solomon oversaw restaurant, food truck, and vendor partners and expanded on new business relationships.
Her latest venture was serving as Director of Catering Operations at Lasting Impression, where she led a team in accomplishing day-to-day tasks including crafting menus and developing new ideas to managing staff members and directing client relationships based on their event needs.
Solomon’s well-established career in the events and catering industry has given her a strong understanding of all aspects that play into successful event execution, and her ability to collaborate with and manage her staff will make her an extraordinary asset to the team at The VERVE–Crowne Plaza Boston-Natick.

In her new position, Solomon will maintain existing client relationships while fostering new ones and lead a team in implementing menu creations and event execution. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family and rescue dog, Gracie.
