Holy Week Services at Edwards Church in Saxonville

FRAMINGHAM – The following are Holy Week services at Edwards Church in Saxonville.

  • Maundy Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. We will gather in Susan P. Dickerman Hall for this service reflecting on Jesus’ last supper with his disciples, his betrayal and arrest. The service will include a shared meal, Communion, and Tenebrae. Our confirmands and their mentors will participate in leading the service.Please bring a plate of pre-cut bread, cheese, or fruit to share.
  • Good Friday, April 19 at noon Christians from Framingham churches will gather in our sanctuary for an ecumenical healing service. We will tell the story of Jesus’ passion, with questions to prompt silent reflection, followed by an opportunity to come forward for anointing and healing prayers.
  • Easter Sunrise Service, April 21 at 5:45 a.m. – Join us outdoors beside the sanctuary. We will gather around the fire pit and celebrate the good news of Christ’s resurrection while watching the sunrise and sharing Holy Communion. Friends from The Plymouth Church will join us. Stay for a continental breakfast afterwards.
  • Easter Festival Worship, April 21 at 10 a.m. – Our festival worship will include guest musicians, a flowering cross, a mini-Easter Egg hunt, and reflections on the meaning of the Resurrection. Come a few minutes early to help create the flowering cross.
