Framingham Fire Wins Heroes Cup; Donates Winnings To Police Officer Battling Cancer

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Fire Department’s hockey team won the C2 Division of the Heroes Cup tournament at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough over the weekend.


The Heroes Cup is a weekend long event designed to bring firefighters, police officers, EMS, and military members together in a fun weekend to raise money and awareness for multiple charities.

The Framingham Firefighters donated their $1,000 check to Framingham Police Officer Val Krishtal, who has been battling cancer since last year.

Ironically, the Framingham Police Department’s hockey team won the Heroes Cup Tournamentin their division last year.

This was the 3rd Annual Heroes Cup tournament in Marlborough.
