Groleau Finishes 10th In BAA Professional Mile

BOSTON – Framingham’s Ben Groleau finished 10th in the Boston Athletic Association’s professional mile invitational on Saturday, April 13 in Boston.

Groleau, a native of Framingham, is the course record holder for the B.A.A. Scholastic Mile.

Groleau won the B.A.A. Scholastic Mile twice while attending Framingham High.

He is the first athlete to compete in both the scholastic mile and the professional mile for the Boston Athletic Association.

In January he broke the coveted 4 minute mile mark, clocking 3:58.93.

His time on Saturday was 4;15.4 minutes. He is now 25 years old.

The winning time on Saturday was Robert Domanic of the United States in 4:06.4 minutes. Great Britians’ Chris O’Hare was second in 4:06.9 minutes with Germany’s Sam Parsons third.
