Flyers Lose Season Opener To Raiders 96-40

WELLESLEY – The Framingham High boys outdoor track team lost its season opener on the road today in Wellesley.

The Wellesley High boys were the Division 2 champions during the indoor season.

The final score was 96-40 Raiders.

Framingham has its home opener on April 24.

“A cold but productive first meet today,” said head coach Chris Collins.

Freshman Miles Bishop won the shot put event for Framingham with a throw of 42-feet, 2 inches.

Senior Chidi Nna finished second with a throw of 41-feet, 4-inches.

Senior Seth Martin finished second in the long jump at 19-feet. 4.5 inches.

Junior Zach Blumer finished second in the triple jump at 39 feet, 4.5 inches.

Junior Brad Bogovich captured second place in the javelin event with a throw of 119 feet, 9-inches.


Senior captain Ben Burgess finished second in the mile in a time of 4:35.2 minutes.

Sophomore Sam Moffat finished third in the 2-mile race at `10:50.1 minutes.

Senior captain Jon Lam finished second in the 100-yard dash in 11.3 seconds and was second in the 200 race at 23.6 seconds.

The Flyers won the 4 by 400 relay with sophomore Ryan McIrney, junior Alex Thurber, junior Lucas Marshall, and junio Mike Feinblatt.

Sophomore Josh Halberstadt finished second in the 400 hurdles in 64.6 seconds. Moffat finished third in 70.5 seconds.

Sophomore Colin Jones finished third in the high hurdles in 18.7 seconds.

Mcirney was third in the 400 event at 56.2 seconds.
