FRAMINGHAM – Framingham traveled to Weston to take on the Wildcats on Friday for their first game of the new season.
The Flyers started out hot by scoring twice to start the game. After a very competitive first half, Framingham trailed Weston 10-6.
In the second half, Framingham started slower than the first half.
Although they fought hard to get back into the game, they could not complete the effort.
Framingham did display great defense down the stretch, holding Weston to just 4 goals in the final 10 minutes.
First-year Flyers coach Melanie Sharick is looking forward to improvement as the season goes on.
“There were a lot of positives from this game, but some negatives as well. For our first game overall, I thought we played pretty well. The first game is always very important to see what the team can do well, and what needs work” she said.
“I look forward to watching us grow as the season goes on” she added.
Framingham will travel to Milton for their next game on Tuesday.
