1 Framingham at-large City Councilor Cheryl Tully Stoll announced yesterday she will not seek re-election to the Framingham City Council. SOURCE was the first media outlet to publish the news.

At-large City Councilor George King told SOURCE yesterday he will seek re-election.

At-large City Councilors will be running for a 4-year term in 2019. All 11 City Councilors and all 9 School Committee member are up for re-election in 2019. The Mayor, however, has a 4-year term.

2. The Coburnville-Tripoli neighborhood is organizing a block party for Saturday, May 18 at Roosevelt Park on Fay Road. 

There is a planning meeting tonight at 7 at the Brazilian-American Center in the library. All from the neighborhood are invited to attend and participated.

The residents in Coburnville and Tripoli neighborhoods are also looking to form an association.



3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, the mayor will hold an office hour with individual City Councilors this afternoon.

The Mayor will be at the Huntington Theatre in Boston tonight from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for a fundraiser. She is one of the speakers at the event.

Yesterday, the Mayor attended the one-year anniversary celebration of Discovering Hidden Gems.

4. Framingham State University will hold a ceremony this afternoon to honor Women Making History NOW.

5. City of Framingham meetings:

  • Framingham Seal Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at 4:30 p.m. in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham City Council’s subcommittee on planning & zoning is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the Blumer Community room in the Memorial Building.
  • School Building Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. at Fuller Middle School
  • Framingham License Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.
