FRAMINGHAM – MetroWest Medical Center is opening a new outpatient maternity care unit mext week.
The Joel S. Rankin Outpatient Maternal Care Unit at the Beautiful Beginnings Birthing Center will provide a variety of urgent or emergent services to women who are 20 weeks pregnant or greater.
“This is a momentous occasion for the entire MetroWest Medical Center team,” said Dr. Andrew Harding, Chief Executive Officer at MetroWest Medical Center. “Dr. Rankin served local citizens for more than 40 years at our Framingham Union Hospital. It is an absolute honor to recognize him for his tireless dedication as he was a phenomenal physician to his patients and positive role model for many colleagues. We look forward to providing advanced medical care in this new unit!”
The Outpatient Maternal Care Unit is more than 16,000 square feet and includes four treatment rooms to treat urgent or emergent pregnancy-related concerns.
A formal ribbon cutting will take place to celebrate the unit opening next week on Wednesday, March 27 at Framingham Union Hospital.
