Framingham Man Ordered To Stay Away From Framingham Libraries After 5th Sex Charge

FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man arrested at the Framingham Public Library on Monday, after exposing himself and masturbating in front of a teenage girl was arraigned in court yesterday, March 19.

Framingham District Court Judge Jennifer Stark revoked the bail for John Driscoll, 48, of 101 Simpson Drive.

Driscoll had four open cases on the same charge of open gross lewdness (a sex charge) already in the court system in addition to the new charge from Monday’s arrest by Framingham Police.

Judge Stark ordered Driscoll held without bail for 90 days and to stay away from all libraries in Framingham. She also set bail after the 90 days for $2,000.

On Monday afternoon, Framingham Police arrested Driscoll at the library, after the teenage girl, 15, reported the incident to staff.

Driscoll had been arrested in Framingham on the same charge in June 2018 and April 2019. He also had two other open cases pending with the court system on the same charge.

Driscoll’s lawyer Robert Canty asked for his client to be release with a GPS monitoring system, as he has never skipped a court appearance.

Driscoll is due back in court on April 23 for a pretrial conference.
