WORCESTER – The Assumption Department of Athletics announced Timothy Tierney, of Framingham, has earned a spot on the 2019 Assumption College Men’s Lacrosse team.
Tierney, Class of 2020, will compete during the Greyhounds’ spring season.
“Our motivating passion this season is to strive each day to be the best version of ourselves,” said Guy Bourdon, new head coach of the Assumption Men’s Lacrosse team. “This includes maximizing our efforts as students, athletes and members of the Assumption campus community. If we focus on these primary aspects, and continue to sustain a positive team environment, this group of student-athletes will benefit from achieving their goals.”
Assumption is coming off a 7-6 record and seventh place finish in the Northeast-10 Conference last year.
The 2019 squad, picked in the top 10 of the NE10 Preseason Coaches’ Poll, features eight returning seniors and all three of their top goal scorers from last season.
The team, which began playing in late February, hosts its first home opener on March 23.
