MetroWest Chamber Hosting 9th Annual Taste of MetroWest on March 19

FRAMINGHAM – The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce will host its signature “foodie” event – the 9th Annual Taste of MetroWest, presented by Framingham State University, on Tuesday, March 19 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The community celebration will be held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Framingham.

Each year, the Taste of MetroWest showcases purveyors of food and beverages from across the greater MetroWest region. According to MetroWest Chamber President and CEO Paul Joseph, “We’re lucky to have such a wide variety of options to sip and dine in MetroWest. This forum provides area chefs, bakers, confectioners and brewers an exciting opportunity to feature what makes them unique.”

“We present five ‘Best’ awards at the end of the evening, including, Best Appetizer, Entrée, Dessert, Beverage, and Presentation. Guests are encouraged to sample everything, vote for their favorites. At the same time, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about area Community Partners – local non-profit organizations whose missions serve the equally varied needs of our communities. It’s really a wonderful night,” said Joseph.

Once again, Framingham State University is the Presenting sponsor of the Taste of MetroWest. According to President Javier Cevallos, “Framingham State University is proud to work so closely with the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce in many ways – Chamber members, our local employers, hire so many of our students and support many of our workforce readiness
and educational programs.”

“The Taste of MetroWest is a wonderful community event that provides us with an opportunity to promote our innovative programs, such as Food Sciences and Nutrition degrees, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and our Hospitality and Tourism Management program. We are also working together to bring awareness to the increasing challenge of food insecurity among our students,” said Cevallos.

Families are welcome to attend, with ticket prices ranging from $40 for adults, $20 for children 2-12 years old, and children under 2 years old are free. At the time of this release there are nearly 50 confirmed exhibitors and the ticket sales are outpacing 2018.

The Chamber anticipates a crowd of between 800-1,000 “tasters” at this year’s event.
