VIDEOS and SLIDESHOW: Walsh Celebrates Latino/Hispanic Music

FRAMINGHAM – On Mardi Gras, Walsh Middle School hosted musicians from the Berklee College of Music to celebrate the rhythms and beats of Latin music.

The musicians played Rumba, Samba, a Brazilian classic, and more during the all-school performance in the auditorium.

“Every year, Walsh has recognized the various cultures of our students in different ways,” said math department chair Marguerite Simpson-Lackard.

Yesterday, the middle school, with sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students,
Tomorrow, celebrated its Latino/Hispanic culture.

The performances was made possible by the Walsh Middle School PTO.

Musicians includes:

Sheila Del Bosque from Cuba on flute.

Takifumi Nikaido on percussion from Japan

Vocals were Nicolle Horbarh from Columbia

Nacho Gonzalez from Uruguay on guitar
