UPDATED: Superintendent Calls Framingham’s First Snow Day

FRAMINGHAM – In between the second and third period of the Flyers hockey game at Tsongas Arena in Lowell, tonight, March 3, the announcer told students and fans they were the first to now that there would be no school for Framingham Public School students.

Framingham Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay called the district’s first snow day tonight, with a forecast of 8 to 11 inches of snow forecasted for Sunday night into Monday.

With Framingham Public closed, there is no school for students at the Christa McAuliffe Charter Schools.

Tremblay said the snow day was being translated into a couple of languages and it would go out to parents soon.

Updated: Keefe Technical has also called a snow day for Monday.

Updated: MassBay announced no classes for Monday.

Due to weather, Framingham State University classes are cancelled for March 4, until 4:30 p.m. Only essential personnel must report prior to that time. Classes will resume at 4:30 p.m.
