BURLINGTON – The Framingham High boys ice hockey team won its first-ever Ed Cahoon Memorial Cup tournament last night at the Ice Palace in Burlington.

Framingham is now has a record of 17-3-2, under head coach Will Ortiz.
The Flyers won the Bay State Conference earlier this year going 11-0-1.
Next up is the selection for the Super 8 tournament on Saturday. Framingham is currently ranked #7 in the state. The top 6 should get in easily, and then four other teams will battle for the last two wild card spots.
Framingham if it doesn’t qualify for Super 8 will play in the Division 1 tournament. The Flyers went to the state final in Division 1, two years ago in Ortiz’ first year as head coach.
