FRAMINGHAM – Keefe Tech’s hockey team took on St. John’s on Sunday afternoon.
The Broncos ended up losing the game 4-1.
Keefe opened the game on the attack, but was unable to take advantage of their early pressure in the attacking zone. They trailed 1-0 after the first period.
St. John’s countered with pressure of their own in the second period – scoring 3 goals in the final 3 minutes of the period.
Harry Mcdonald scored the lone goal of the game for the Broncos, within those three minutes, as well.
After the game, Broncos head coach Joe Flynn had high praise for his team, even though the score was not what he would have hoped.
“We played hard, and we had good goal tending,” he said. “We played a very clean game for the most part, although we had a lapse of 5 minutes where we let up a little bit. Besides that, I thought we played great.”
Keefe Tech falls to 5-4-2 on the season with the loss.
