Freezing Rain, Ice Forecasted For Wednesday Night, Thursday Commute

NORTON – The National Weather Service Boston/Norton issued a winter weather advisory at 10:13 a.m. for MetroWest, including Framingham.

The advisory is from 9 p.m. today through 10 a.m. Thursday.



Freezing rain is expected, tonight, and could start as early as 6 p.m., although forecasters are calling for it to start as of 9 p.m.

Total ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch possible.

Areas of freezing rain will result in hazardous travel conditions tonight which may also impact the Thursday morning commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.

Expect slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
