Two Framingham sophomores finished first-second in the hurdles at the Walter “Ziggy” Janiak track meet today, February 2, at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical School.
Finn Lawson won the event with a personal record of 8.71 seconds in the finals. He qualified for the finals with in 9.47 seconds mark.
Sed Lomami ran an 8.55 seconds to qualify as the #1 seed in the finals. He ran 8.89 in the finals to captured second place.
The Janiak meet is specifically for freshmen and sophomores.
Sam Moffat finished fifth in the mile at 5:07.91 minutes.
In the 600 meter event, sophomore Ryan McIrney took fifth place in 1:38.60 minutes.
In the 1000 meter event, sophomore Aidan Trierweiler finished fifth at 3:01.10 minutes.
The Flyers finished third in the 4 by 400 relay in 4:14.30 minutes. Runners on the relay were McIrney, Trierweiler, Moffat, and sophomore Chris Kelly.
