FRAMINGHAM – Mayor Yvonne Spicer gave the City of Framingham’s 2nd State of the City address last night in Nevins Hall.
More than a couple hundred individuals attended the event, including Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Boston mayor Mary Walsh, State Treasurer Deb Goldberg, and State Auditor Suzanne Bump.
Ten of the 11-member City Council attended, as seven of the 9-member Framingham School Committee. Superintendent Bob Tremblay was also in attendance, as was a couple of the Assistant Superintendents of Schools.
The Mayor invite State Representatives Jack Patrick Lewis and Maria Robinson to participate in the ceremony. Senate President Karen Spilka did not attend, but her office was represented.
Chief Financial Officer Thatcher Kezer, Police Chief Steven Trask, and Fire Chief Joseph Hicks sat in the second row, and many of the City’s department heads attended the address. City Clerk Lisa Ferguson was in attendance.
The Mayor invited Christine and James Suau to attend the State of the City.
Also in attendance were the presidents of MassBay Community College and Framingham State University.
