FRAMINGHAM – Sister Ann (Nancy) Cavanaugh, CSJ, (Sister Marie Lawrence), in her 63rd year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Thursday, January 24, 2019.
Devoted daughter of the late Sylvester and Catherine Josephine (King) Cavanaugh, and sister of the late Richard, Ann Marie and John Cavanaugh.
Sister Nancy is survived by her loving brother, Lawrence and his wife, Dee, and her brother Stephen Cavanaugh, many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, her dear friend, Sister Mary Ann Connolly, SCH, and her Sisters in the Congregation.
Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. William School, Dorchester; St. Joseph School, Lynn; St. Columbkille School, Brighton; St. Anthony School, Allston; St. Agnes School, Arlington; and Jackson School, Newton.
Sister Nancy also served as Principal for almost 15 years at St. Joseph School in Needham.
Visiting hours at Holy Spirit Chapel, Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, Tuesday, January 29, 2019, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
Prayer Service at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at Bethany at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham.
