FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls team travelled to Walpole for a game against the Rebels.
Walpole won 65-33.
Framingham is now 6-9 this season.
We “started strong by ending the first quarter down 10-14,” said head coach Kristen Audet Fucarile. “Then we went 0-18 from the field percentage, and it shook our team going into the half (down) 13-28.”
Audet Fucarile said “I praised my team for taking the right shots, we just couldn’t get anything to fall, and it is tough coming back from that.”
She said “they never gave up and brought it within 15 many times to then fall to them at the end 33-65.”
“Walpole has fantastic shooters, and they hot everything,” said the coach. “Well disciplined team that executed and got good looks at the basket.”
Ryleigh LaChance “played big on the boards for us ending with 12 rebounds and 4 points,” said Audet Fucarile.
Vienna Monestime had 7 points and 10 rebounds.
“Hannah Krier was our go to attacker at the basket,” said Audet Fucarile. “That kid has heart because she will take some hard hits just to see the glass at the end. She ended with 7 points”
Nicole Moran was our leading scorer, said the coach, “hitting three 3’s and ending with nine points.”
The Flyers will host Wellesley High on Tuesday night. Tip-off at 6:30 p.m.
