NEWTON – The Framingham High girls basketball team lost to Newton North High on the road Tuesday night.
The Tigers won 52-40.
“It was a tough loss for a high spirited Flyers team coming off two big wins in the Bay State Conference,” said head coach Kristen Audet-Fucarile.
Leading scorers in the loss were Vienna Monestime with 14 points, Nicole Moran with 10 points and Ryleigh LaChance with 9 points.
“We started off strong leading 22-20 at the half,” said Audet-Fucarile. “Newton went on a 18-7 run in the third hat we struggled to recover from. Our closeouts were late, and we allowed second shots.”
Framingham is now 6-8 this season.

Next up for the Flyers is another road game against the Revels of Walpole High on Friday night.
