FRAMINGHAM – Junior George Parker had a 5-point night, in leading Framingham past Auburn High’s girls ice hockey team Monday evening, on the road.
The Flyers defeated the Rockets 5-1.
Parker had two goals and three assists in Framingham’s second victory of the season.
Freshman Ava Sullivan scored at 7:15 in the first period, off a pass from Parker, to get the Flyers on the scoreboard.
Parker made it 2-0 at 11:35 in the first period. Assists given to Tess Lawson and Kiley Dustin.
Lawson scored the only goal in the middle period at 7:21 to give the Flyers a 3-0 lead. Assists by Parker and Sullivan.
The Rockets opened the scoring in the final period with a goal by Delaney Novick at 11:20.
Framingham extended its lead to 4-1, with Parker’s second goal of the game. Assists by Caroline Stacey and Kaylee Hall.
Senior Stacey scored the Flyers final goal at 14:47 minutes, off a pass from Parker.
Framingham’s Maira McCarthy made 19 saves.
The Flyers are now 2-9 overall, under first-year head coach Casey Diana.
In the last three game, Framingham has gone 2-1, with Parker scoring five goals and registering 5 assists.
Freshman Sullivan has had three goals and 3 assists in the last three games.
Framingham next travels to Watertown for a game against the Tigers of Newton North on Wednesday.
