BROOKLINE – The Framingham High girls basketball team defeated Brookline High on the road Friday night. The Flyers won 46-30.
“We started off strong with a 14-0 run in the first quarter with some big power moves to the basket by Hannah Krier,” said head coach Kristen Audet Fucareli.
“Going into the half we led 2713, with the some big 3-pointers from Marykate Robinson, Destiny Fausta, and Nicole Moran,” said the head coach.
“Coming off a win from Weymouth, we knew we had a lot of work to do after shooting 20 percent from the field and accumulating way too many turnovers,” said Audet Fucareli. “The team spent the past two days looking over film and making adjustments to their offensive attempts to the basket.”
Vienna Monestine led the Flyers with 12 points and 5 rebounds.
Moran had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Krier finished with 8 points.
Eight of the 12 Flyers contributed to the scoreboard, said the coach.
The team is now 6-7 for the season.
“We need to rest up and get ready for our re-match with Newton North on Tuesday,” said the coach.”We have one direction to aim for and that’s up!”
