George De Loreto, Sr., 81, Army Veteran




FRAMINGHAM – George J. De Loreto, Sr., 81, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Friday, January 11, 2019 after a lengthy illness.  Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Joseph & Lillian (Carnabucci) De Loreto, and the beloved husband of Attilia “Tillie” (Manuel) De Loreto.

George was raised and educated in Everett.   

After high school, he served his country in the United States Army.  

In 1971, he married the love of his life, Tillie and settled in Framingham where they raised their two sons.

George always enjoyed a good joke, but loved his family even more so.  In addition to his wife Tillie, he is survived by his sons, George & his wife Marty of Framingham, and Craig of Plymouth, his three grandchildren, Bradley, Cadence, and Jack, his siblings, Joseph of SC, Albert of GA, Richard of Methuen, and Lorraine Golden of Everett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister Evelyn Ricci.

Family and friends will honor and remember George’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St.Framingham on Thursday, January 17 from 4 to 8 p.m.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in St. Stephen’s Church, 251 Concord St. Framingham at 11 a.m.  

Interment will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.
