Avidia Bank Customers Donate to 4 Charities During Holidays

FRAMINGHAM – During Giving Tuesday, Avidia customers joined the bank in giving back to the local community by donating a portion of their rewards points to a local charity.

Customers were able to send their donations to one of four charities Avidia has partnered with.

A total of $1214.66 was fundraised through the points donation drive and the dollar for dollar donation match from Avidia.

The four charities that received donations were, Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury, Southern Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) based in Framingham, Big Brother Big Sister of Central Mass/MetroWest and BayPath Elder Services based in Marlborough.

“This was a great way for our customers to join us in giving back to our community while helping to create awareness about these organizations,” said Margaret Sullivan, Chief Financial Officer of Avidia Bank.

Avidia anticipates on running this promotion again in 2019 in honor of Giving Tuesday.

In addition to the points donation drive, Avidia also hosted toy and food drives in many of their branches to support families in need during the holidays.
