Downtown Framingham Establishment Chooses Not To Renew Licenses

FRAMINGHAM – After eight years of ownership, Paul Sanford, sold The Tavern, to the Scagnetti Group in late 2016.

Soon afterwards, Dan Wetherbee and George Sullivan opened Danny Sullivan’s at 102 Irving Street.

But, Danny’s Sullivan’s may have seen its final days in 2018.

The owners did not file paper work to renew its common victualer or the alcohol licenses by Dec. 12 for the Framingham License Commission to approve at its last meeting of the year in 2018 on Dec. 17.

And the owners did not file renewal paperwork for licenses by Dec. 31, 2018.

The establishment is closed.

On its Facebook page Danny Sullivan’s posted on Dec. 20 “Danny Sullivan’s will have our last hurrah December 30th. Come on down for a Kareoke party with Heather and George. We hope to re-open later in 2019. We love all of our friends/family/patrons that have had laughs with us during our 2 years of excitement. With any luck we will have more to come. You all made it an amazing time. Much love, we hope this is just a small hiatus. “
