Robinson Sworn In As Framingham’s Newest State Representative

FRAMINGHAM – Maria Robinson was sworn in today, January 2, as Framingham’s newest state representative in a ceremony at the State House in Boston.

Robinson will represent the Sixth Middlesex District former served by the late Rep. Chris Walsh, who died in 2018.

Robinson represents Precincts 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15  in the City.

Robinson is the first Korean-American elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

She attended the swearing ceremony with with her husband, her daughter, and her parents.

Rep. Robinson said she will be filing several pieces of legislation in her initial term.

Her priorities include a “a comprehensive climate change bill and a bill working on data privacy for Mass Pike drivers.

She also plans to file a “bill honoring the late Chris Walsh by establishing an architect laureate designation.”
