FRAMINGHAM – Carl Wayne Stewart, 72, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home in Framingham.
He was the husband of Annette D. (Bosley) Bernard for 31 years.
Born in Corbin, KY, he was the son of the late Henry M. and Gertrude (White) Stewart, Sr.
Carl graduated from Corbin High School, received his Bachelor’s degree from UMass Boston and a Master’s in Counseling from Cambridge College.
During the Vietnam War, he served for 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard.
For the last 30 years, Carl worked as an addiction counselor and up until the time of his death, ran the evening program at the Faulkner Hospital for the last 21 years.
In addition to his wife Annette, he is survived by their stepson, Timothy Bernard, his granddaughters, Julianna and Natalie and his nephew Dennis Stewart.
Carl was the brother of the late Henry M. Stewart Jr. and Herald Stewart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 160 Concord Road in Sudbury. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., Framingham, MA 01702, will be held Friday January 4, from 4 to 7 p.m.
