Poku Wins, But Flyers Fall To Wellesley 82-18

FRAMINGHAM – Grace Poku was the only winner for the Flyers in their track meet against Wellesley High at the Reggie Lewis Center on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 20.

Poku won the 55-meter dash event in 7.51 seconds. She has the third fastest time in the Bay State Conference, as of Dec. 20. The Raiders took second and third place in the dash.

Wellesley Junior Zoe Geiger won the 300-meter event in 44.52 seconds. Framingham’s Patty Agbeh finished second in a personal record time of 47.30 seconds. Flyer freshman Kylie Chagnon finished third in 47.52 seconds, a personal best for her.

The first five runners across the finish line in the 600-meter race were all from Wellesley.

The Raiders swept the 1,000-meter race. Senior Clara Small finished fourth with a time of 3:39 minutes.

Wellesley swept the mile race and finished 1-2 in the 2-mile race. Framingham freshman Abigail DeVeau finished third in the 2 mile event with a personal record of 12:25.68 minutes.

The Raiders won the 4X400 relay. The Flyers won the 4X200 relay. Poku had the fastest 200 yesterday at the meet.

Wellesley swept the hurdle event.

The Raiders finished 1-2 in the high jump Shannon Walker finished third with a leap of 4-feet, 3-inches.

Wellesley captured first and second place in the long jump. Framingham junior Nicole Aguilar finished third with a jump of 14-feet, 5.5 inches, a personal best.

Framingham Senior Ayushi Shrike finished third in the shot put event. Her throw was 21-feet and 9.25 inches.
