1 City of Framingham will give the oath of office to 6 new police officers today in a ceremony in Nevins Hall. The hiring of these six men, brings the total of new officers this year to a dozen.
2. City Hall will close today at 12:30 p.m. City Hall will open normal business hours on Monday, December 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sorin Bica is a contemporary artist based in the Boston area, frequently sought for his unique large scale abstract and figurative paintings. The use of intense color and expressive figures could be seen through-out his work. His work can be found in many public, private and corporate collections both in the United States and abroad. 4. Open Spirit in Saxonville is hosting an evening of gentle yoga, deep relaxation, and guided meditation on the eve of the Winter Solstice, the Longest Night tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
For people of all faiths and backgrounds; we will draw upon many traditions. For people of all physical abilities; the yoga will be gentle and can be accommodated for a chair or mat.
There event will be held in Sue Dickerman Hall on the campus of Edwards Church and Open Spirit. Free to attend but donations are appreciated.
5. According to Mayor’s public calendar on the City of Framingham’s website, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.
However, she is expected to attend the City’s swearing in ceremony for 6 new police officers at the Memorial Building.
