5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, December 17

1 Framingham Mayor Yvonne Spicer is holding a ceremonial swearing in ceremony for Framingham Police Chief Steven Trask today at 11 a.m. at Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building. The public is invited.

 

2. Downtown Framingham Inc. will hold its annual meeting tonight at La Cantina restaurant in Framingham tonight. The event is sold out. Mayor Yvonne Spicer and City Council Chair Dennis Giombetti are expected to speak.

 

 

3. Framingham League of Women Voters are meeting tonight. Those interested in running for a board position should attend. Click here for more details.

 

4. CITY of Framingham meetings:

  • Framingham Board of Health, with its new 3-member Board, are scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Albondi room in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham License Commission is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham School Building Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 at Fuller Middle School.

 

5. According to Mayor’s public calendar on the City of Framingham’s website, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will attend the Downtown Framingham Inc. event at La Cantina tonight.

Although not on her schedule. the Mayor is expected to attend the police chief swearing in ceremony at 11 a.m. today.

Last night, the Mayor attended the holiday party for the Westborough Democrats.

Last week, Mayor Spicer was in Texas.
