Tigers Defeat Flyers 88-11 in Season Opener; Poku Wins Dash For Framingham

FRAMINGHAM  – Newton North High School defeated Framingham High girls indoor track team in the season opener at Reggie Lewis Center this afternoon.

The Tigers won 88-11.

Senior Grace Poku won the 55-meter dash in 7.,53 seconds.

Freshman Abigail DeVeau set a personal record in finishing third in the one mile event. Her time was 5:53.98 minutes.

In the field events, junior Iliana Munoz finished second in the shot put with a throw of 26 feet, 8.5 inches.

Senior Laura Walkup finished third in the high jump, with a leap of 4 feet and 6 inches.

Framingham senior Patty Agbeh finished third in the long jump and also third in the the 300 meter event at 48.49 seconds.

Newton North swept the hurdles.

And the Tigers won both relays.

Framingham is now 0-1 this season.
