FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High wrestling team defeated Braintree High in its Conference opener Tuesday night.
With the win over the Wamps, Framingham High is now 3-1 on the season, under new head coach Eric Delehanty.
The Flyers won 55-18.
Next up for Framingham is the Wayland Holiday tournament on Saturday.
Senior captains Danillo Da Silva, at 145 pounds, and Matt Noah, at 170 pounds both won. Da Silva by pin and Noah with a technical pin.
Senior Seth Martin won by pin at 195 pounds.
Sophomore Shawn Ashe earned his first varsity win at 220 pounds.
Juniors Reece Lachance, at 182 pounds, and Nick Crotty, at 160 pounds, both won.
Freshman Marcus O’Brien won by a pin at 132 pounds.
Sophomore Nolan Zigmont won at 106 pounds in a 8-4 decision.
Dante Marino, a sophomore, won at 138 pounds by pin.
Sophomore Pat Quigley won the 152 pound match by pin.
