UPDATED — 1 Voters yesterday overwhelmingly supported the construction of a new Fuller Middle School in a special election. The vote was 4,301 to 703.

  • Tonight is the home opener for the Framingham High boys hockey team. Puck drops at Loring Arena at 7 p.m.
  • Girls hockey team has an away scrimmage against the Mustangs of Norwood High at 5:30 p.m.
  • Framingham High wrestlers defeated Braintree in their conference opener yesterday.
  • Boys basketball team won its home opener last night.
  • Boys swim& dive team won its season opener on the road yesterday.

 

4.  City of Framingham meetings:

  • Framingham School Committee’s subcommittee on communication has a meeting at 5;30 p.m.
  • Framingham High School Council has a meeting at 5:45 p.m. today
  • Framingham Cultural Council has a meeting at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Building
  • Framingham Historic Commission has a meeting at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Building
  • Framingham Disability Commission has a meeting at 7:15 p.m. in Ablondi room at the Memorial Building

 

 

 

5.  SCHOOL events:

  • Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay will meet with McCarthy Elementary parents at 6 p.m., afterwards the school will hold a PTO meeting and parents can meet new Principal Cynthia Page.
  • The Bilingual Department is hosting a parents informational session at the main Framingham Library on its new dual-language programs from 6 to 7;30 p.m. at 49 Lexington Street.
