FRAMINGHAM – On Wednesday night, over 125 prospective students visited Keefe Tech’s career night, a showcase of the programs and career and technical areas offered by Keefe Technical School.
The event featured demonstrations in all of the career areas of the school, including the horticulture, automotive, plumbing, dental assisting, legal and protective services, and culinary departments.
The middle school students represented the five sending districts and all of the sending middle schools in Natick, Holliston, Ashland, Hopkinton, and Framingham, with the biggest jump in attendance coming from Framingham 8th graders.
Parents and students alike enjoyed a selection of desserts while perusing the career areas and academic departments.
In the career areas, students interacted with current Keefe Tech students and technical instructors who were demonstrating some of the techniques and skills that they learn and practice in their chosen fields.
This event is a part of the application season for 8th graders wishing to apply to Keefe Tech.
The priority application deadline is January 15th, 2019.
Students can apply online via keefetech.go2cte.com or through a paper application at their middle school through their guidance counselor.
Students who apply by January 15 will have an interview with a member of the Keefe Tech Admissions team prior to the February school break.
Admissions decisions are sent home on March 1st.
