WALTHAM – CH-CH students took part in the 3rd Annual CH-CH Senate Simulation on Friday, October 26.

These members of the CH-CH student body worked to solve problems our real members of government are currently struggling to solve. Were they able to figure out the best way forward on the North Korean nuclear program? Were they able to come up with a comprehensive plan to solve the huge increases in the cost of healthcare?

“The goal for this project is for students to move beyond research, to help them embody the views of a senator,” said History Department Chair Ian MacPhail. “They’re learning to work together while getting to see these issues from another point of view.”

  • Sophie Bean of Natick played the role of Senator Ben Sasse grappling with the real issues currently facing the United States.
  • George Vaughn of Natick played the role of Senator Amy Klobuchar grappling with the real issues currently facing the United States.
  • Alicia Walker of Framingham played the role of Senator Angus King grappling with the real issues currently facing the United States.
  • Haleigh Keil of Natick¬† played the role of Senator Debbie Stabenow grappling with the real issues currently facing the United States.
