NATICK – David Westenberg, 61, of Wellesley won the 9th Annual Jingle Bell Run today, December 1. in Natick. His time was 10:24 minutes for the 2-mile course that starts and ends at Brown Elementary School.
STRIVERS Running Club for Girls and the Natick Police Chase Team joined together for the 9th year to host the Natick race. This is the 10th anniversary of the STRIVERS Running Club in Natick.
The road race has raised more than $54,000 for The Natick Service Council and A Place To Turn over the last 9 years.
Alexander Jin, 17, of Brighton finished in second place at 10:44 minutes. Steven D’Alessandro, 12, of Natick finished third in 10:47 minutes.
Joseph Atchue was fourth in 10:53 minutes. Max Jones, 14, was fifth in 10:56 minutes, and Jonathan Fascetti, 16, was sixth overall, in 11 minutes flat.
Jenn Castro was the top female to cross the line. The Newton woman finished 6th overall in 11:08 minutes.
Close to 400 runners participate in the 2-mile race in rainy conditions, including member of the Greater Framingham Running Club.
