FRAMINGHAM – Stuart Cotton, 80, of Framingham died Sunday, November 25, 2018, after a period of declining health.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Jacob & Lillian (Grees) Cotton, and the beloved husband of Jean (Urban) Cotton.
Stu was a graduate of Worcester Academy and Boston University. He worked in sales for many years before moving to Hawaii where he lived for 14 years and worked as an Environmental Consultant. After returning to Massachusetts he retired.
Known for his sense of humor, Stuart was quick with a joke. He enjoyed classical music, photography, road trips and crossword puzzles.
Stu was a family man through and through and besides his loving wife Jean, he is survived by his children, Rachel of Shrewsbury, Andrew of Framingham, Kelly of Watertown, David & his wife Hope of Holden, his son-in-law Patrick O’Brien of Northborough, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Norman and his daughter Jody O’Brien.
Family and friends will honor and remember Stu’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham, on Saturday, December 1 from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
His funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Stuart’s name to: the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
