Why did you launch your business? I have a degree in costume design and after working in theatre I moved to a career in paper crafting design. Working with felt florals was the perfect marriage of the two industries. Felt flowers just make people smile!
What will you be selling at the holiday marketplace? Felt floral hair accessories, dress-up crowns, succulents, wreathes, and other home decor.
What makes your business unique? All of my pieces are handmade: cut, assembled, and arranged by me. There’s a special softness that felt brings to flowers that makes them somehow both elegant and whimsical.
If you are an artisan or a crafter, where do you get your inspiration from? I get most of my inspiration from actual flowers and plants! I love looking at unique flora or interesting color combinations for my latest designs.
What is your favorite thing about the holidays? I find that seasonal decorations make my heart happy. Making a festive home for my friends and family feels like I am creating warmth and joy. And the desserts, HA!
What is your signature item that everyone should buy at the marketplace and why? My mistletoe is a fan favorite! How can you resist the lure of a smooch under the mistletoe!? And felt means that it will last you year after year and it’s safe for our furry friends, too.
