Football Bonfire at Bowditch 2018

It was a beautiful night for a bonfire at Bowditch Field. Not too cold – but the temperatures are supposed to drop for tomorrow night's 113th meeting between Framingham and Natick football game. The game is at historic Fenway Park this year.Tickets still available at $20. See you there! – Susan.

FRAMINGHAM – The traditional football bonfire was held at Bowditch Field tonight as part of a pep rally for the Framingham High football team.

The bonfire is held when Framingham hosts Natick High for the annual Thanksgiving football game.

This year, the bonfire was on Tuesday night, instead of the night before Thanksgiving, as the Flyers and the Red Hawks will play their 113th meeting at historic Fenway park on Wednesday night as opposed to Thanksgiving morning at Bowditch Field.

Prior to the bonfire, the football team held its annual pasta dinner at the Framingham Elks Lodge.

Mayor Yvonne Spicer was asked to light the bonfire by Framingham Parks & Recreation department.
