FRAMINGHAM – Wednesday, Nov 21 is the deadline to register to vote, if you wish to participate in the special election in the City of Framingham on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
Registration deadline is 8 p.m.
The City clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but you may also register online.
If you will be out of Framingham on election day, you can also pick up an absentee ballot at the City Clerk’s office at the Memorial Building, at 150 Concord Street.
On Tuesday December 11, polls will be open at the City’s 18 Precincts from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters will see one ballot question.
It is a debt exclusion override question, in which voters will be asked to raise taxes for 20 years to pay for the construction of a new middle school for the city.
The cost of the middle school is about $98 million.
The state has agreed to give the City about $39 million, if voters approve the ballot question.
