5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Friday, November 16

1  Tonight is opening night of the 5th grade musical at Hemenway Elementary School. The Lion King Jr. production is sold out tonight and tomorrow at 2 p.m. There are limited tickets for the 7 p.m. show on Saturday. SOURCE is attending the Saturday matinee performance and will take photos.

 

2. Schools are on a 2-hour delay in Framingham due to the snow last night.

Trash collection will take place, but just a reminder Framingham is already on a one-day delayed schedule due to Veterans Day.

 

3. According to Mayor’s public calendar  on the City of Framingham’s website, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events today.

Just a reminder City offices will close early today at 12:30 p.m., as part of the Mayor’s new pilot program.

 

4. Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen Pop-Up will be at Exhibit A Brewing tonight from 5 to 9. Sausages and grilled cheese sound good when there is snow on the ground.

 

5. A meticulous study led by Boston Children’s Hospital, in partnership with Framingham State University, now finds that eating fewer carbohydrates increases the number of calories burned. The study was published on Wednesday, November 14.
