FRAMINGHAM – Robert K. Travis, Jr., 84, a longtime Hopkinton and Framingham resident died, Monday, November 12, 2018 after a period of declining health.
Born in Wellesley, he was the son of the late Robert K. & Lydia (Tupper) Travis.
Robert was a 1954 graduate of Natick High School, and just a year later in 1955 he married the love of his life Patricia (Howland).
Robert was a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard, and for many years worked for Barber Bros. florist in Natick.
A proud Christian, Robert was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Framingham and read his bible daily. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially his favorite driver Kyle Busch #18.
Besides his wife Patricia, Robert is survived by his children, Donny & his wife Kim of Caroga Lake, NY, David & his wife Maureen of Sanford, NC, Peter & his wife Silvia of Northborough, and Diane Smith & her husband Karl of St. Albans, ME, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and his sister Pearl Nicolo.
Family and friends will honor and remember Robert’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham, on Saturday from 9;30 to 11:30 a.m. His funeral service will follow immediately after in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
