Mary Ann “Buffy” Halliday, 78, formerly a longtime Framingham resident, currently of No. Conway, NH, died Monday, November 12, 2018 peacefully surrounded by family.
She was born in Framingham, the daughter of the late Leo & Ruby (Knight) Weddleton, she is the beloved wife of James P. Halliday.
Buffy was a 1958 graduate and cheerleader at Framingham High School, and worked for many years, first as a coordinator for Framingham Park & Recreation and then as a manager for Marshalls in Framingham.
She enjoyed the spirit of animals and the joy of cheering on her children and grandchildren at their various activities.
Besides her husband Jim, Buffy is survived by her daughter Robyn of Hudson, her sons, Jimmy & his wife Renee of Stow, Christopher & his wife Melinda of Shrewsbury, and Robert & his wife Amanda of Brookline, NH, her grandchildren, Melissa, Tanya, Jessica, Josh, Tasia, Natalia, Payton and Taylor, her sister Judie and her husband, Paul, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Richard.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Buffy’s life by gathering for visiting hours at the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham, on Sunday, November 18 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning in St. Stephen’s Church, 251 Concord St., Framingham at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
