Framingham Accepting Applications for Marijuana Establishment Host Agreements

The following is a pres press release issued by the Mayor’s office. It is published as received.

Framingham is pleased to announce that as of today, entities are able to apply for consideration for Host Community Agreements (HCAs) through the Marijuana Advisory Team’s (MAT) page on the City’s website. Businesses with track records of sound business practices and that are committed to hiring a diverse workforce from Framingham’s local residents will have opportunities to open marijuana establishments and/or Registered Marijuana Dispensaries (RMDs) in Framingham.

The MAT will advise Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer in her consideration of granting HCAs to eligible marijuana establishments and/or RMDs. Prospective marijuana establishments and/or RMDs will be required to undergo an application and review process of the MAT prior to any HCA being granted.

The launch of this website comes after a thoughtful process with many contributors, including Mayor Spicer, Petrini & Associates (City Solicitor), the Task Force on Marijuana Establishments, Planning Board, City Council, and municipal staff.
